Game news Mortal Kombat 12: is Johny Cage’s voice actor making fun?
Johny Cage is an emblematic character of Mortal Kombat and his voice actor, Andrew Bowen, is equally so: the actor is suspected of seriously making fun of a new Warner Bros. game. Could it be Mortal Kombat 12?
Teasing in good and due shape
Andrew Bowen is known for playing Johny Cage in the Mortal Kombat video games : an iconic, irreverent, often absurd character who draws on all the energy of Hollywood to establish dark fatalities full of black humor. IIt just happens that Bowen is currently in the Warner Bros studios … to do something. One of his now deleted tweets showed him in a room looking at a camera with a smile on his face.
Obviously, the first hypothesis is based on Mortal Kombat 12. Three years have passed since the release of the eleventh opus and the development of a new game is widely requested by fans of the saga.
Another new MK12 track?
Recall that months ago, a mysterious file called “MK12” appeared directly on the screen of Ed Boon, the thinking leader of the saga, during a photo shared on Twitter. Obviously we never knew if it was a real mistake or a voluntary gesture by the developer, just to excite the community.
What we know, however, is that the NetherRealm studio is indeed working on a new game, kept fiercely secret. Maybe it could be an Injustice 3, by asking Andrew Bowen for one of his characters … Actually, we’ll have to take our troubles patiently to find out what it is.
We recall in passing that the production of a second live-action Mortal Kombat film has been made officialfollowing the reboot of the feature film released in 2021. The screenwriter has also recently intervened.
